Technology Reservation System Instructions

Below are instructions for the technology reservation system:

1. Navigate to the City High School website homepage and click on the link called "Technology Reservations".

2. In the login fields shown below type in the username and password I sent you:


3. Click "Login".

4. A calender as shown below will appear. Click on the date you would like to make a reservation. Note: The blue arrow buttons can be used to switch between months.



5. A list of the carts will appear. "Open" will appear below those that haven't been reserved yet for any period that day. Those that have been reserved will show the reserving the teachers name and the periods for which they have been reserved.
Note: For now only laptop and digital projector carts will be reservable online. Camera related equipment will be checked out from Jason and audio equipment from Sarah.



6. To make a reservation click on the "hand holding a pencil" icon:



7. Enter your name and the periods during which you want to reserve the cart. If another teacher has made an entry, type yours directly below the existing entrys. If you see the word "Open", delete it an type in your entry.

8. Once you are finished click on "Save changes".

9. From here can make more reservations. If you are finished click on "Logout" in the upper right corner.

Adding The Upstairs Admin Area Printer

1. On your desktop, select the Apple menu.

2. Select "System Preferences".

3. Select "Print & Fax" preferences.

4. Click on the "+" button that on the left side of the window.

5. Select the "IP Printer" option at the the top of the window.

6. For the protocol option, select "HP Jet Direct - Socket"

7. In the address field, type in: 192.168.1.12

8. In the name field, type in "Upstairs Admin Area" or another name that clearly references the location of the printer.

9. Note: the Queue and Location fields can be left blank.

10. The window should now look like the image shown below, verify the settings and click the Add button.



11. Click on the Continue button.

The printer should appear in your list.

Ensuring Sharing Settings Are Turned Off

1. Go to System Preferences under the Apple menu.



2. Select the "Sharing" folder icon.



3. If necessary click on the lock icon in the lower left corner and enter your password, and than make sure all of the boxes in the window are unchecked.
