Update: Printing To The Toshiba Copier

The Toshiba copier by default processes all print jobs in color. To help the school cut down on the significant cost of printing in color, you can create a "Mono" preset to ensure you are not printing in color.

Note: If the Toshiba driver has not be installed on your laptop, it can be downloaded by logging onto the file server and selecting "Shared Applications" in the first window that pops up after logging in. Drag the Toshiba file to your desktop and launch it, than follow the instructions to install it. Once the install is complete you can delete the file.

Here are the instructions for creating the preset:

1. Open a Word or other MS Office document and go to Print.

2. Ensure the Toshiba copier is selected in the list of printers

3. Click on the "Copies & Pages" option and select "Color Settings 1" in the list that appears.

4. Set the "Color Type" option to "Mono".

5. Go up to "Preset" and than choose "Save As". When prompted type in "Mono" to name the preset.

6. The next time you print to the Toshiba, select the Mono preset, and than hold down the Option key as you click Print.
